The challenge

Most Vietnamese recipe sites flatten a long, regional country into "pho and spring rolls." The cuisine changes every few hundred kilometres — Hanoi's restraint, Huế's heat, the Mekong's abundance — and a title worth building has to hold that geography instead of erasing it.

The approach

The design language is lacquer and indigo — deep lacquer reds against indigo, editorial and unhurried. The content model is built around place: nine regions, fifteen recipes each, cross-cut by ten eras of food history, all on the shared statically-rendered chassis with pantry references, equipment guides and cook mode. Broth you simmer overnight and a herb plate that turns a bowl into a meal — taught the way a Vietnamese kitchen would, not a takeout menu.

The result

A cuisine site that reads the country north to south — 136 recipes across nine regions and ten eras — with the editorial depth to earn real search authority and the restraint to stay a pleasure to use. Designed, built, and run by us.
